Historically, DMR have been a software rather than a hardware company. However, in recent years, there has been increasing emphasis on standardisation of components and use of embedded computer technology within a wide range of commercial products. This availability of modular technology has provided opportunities for DMR to deliver products that integrate standard components and the functional glue of innovative software.

Pursuing its interest in applied robotics and audio-visual systems, DMR have launched products that combine these features and have applications including security and environmental monitoring; corporate and home entertainment and information systems; plus a new technology robotics development platform.

In some cases, DMR will offer composite products comprising design, consultancy, bespoke commissioning, and on-going services as well as the tangible components.
